What is The View? What is The View?

"The View" is what we at MVCC call our Sunday Services.   Come join us and learn to 'View' the world as Jesus does.   'The View' is for teens and adults and has upbeat contemporary music led by our Praise Band 'Cross View';  multi-media presentations and teachings from the Bible that are relevant to your life today.

Also check out the Kidz View page for kids K - 6th grade and Wee View for Babies - Pre-K.

Please join us after the service in the cafeteria for refreshments and a time to catch up with old friends - or even meet some new ones!   Church on Sundays will never be the same!

Also available in the cafeteria are our information and resource tables.  If you would like to get a copy of the message on tape or CD (or a series of messages), see the resource tables.  There you can find plenty of information to answer your questions about GOD or Christianity and someone is always available to help as well.

The information tables contain everything you need to know about Mountain View Community Church plus information about our LIFE group meetings held during the week.

All of this information can also be found here on the website if needed.  Just click one of the links at the left.

Welcome to Mountain View Community Church - we hope you'll "Do the View" with us This Sunday!

Services are held Every Sunday at 10am at the Culpeper High School.   The High school is only 1.5 miles north of downtown Culpeper, following Rt. 229.

What's New in The View?

From Burnout to Balance

Have you ever watched a NASCAR pit crew work on a race car during a pit stop? They try to replace 4 tires with 5 lug nuts each and top off a car with 13 gallons of fuel in as little as 12 seconds.   During the race you'll inevitably hear driver saying to pit crews, "we've got vibrations."  Often the problems are related to UN-Balance.  Are you feeling life's vibrations?  God wants you to experience balance.  He doesn't want you limping through life on fumes.   We invite you to PIT with us for Three weeks as we discover how to go from BURNOUT ot BALANCE in our lives.

New Sign-in/out Process for Kidz View and Wee View:

Parents, we have developed a new sign-in & out process for our children's minsitry in Kidz View and Wee View.  We started this process last Sunday, November 12.  It was a little crazy and I apologize...but don't be discouraged.  The leadership team of this endeavor has met and has tweeked the system.  We hope in our planning that the process will run more smoothly.

We are a growing church, Praise God!  Growth means change and change means that God is working!  Amen!

I'm sure we would all agree that the safety of our children is a strong value we all share, as they are our most treasured gems in the ministry.   Because safety is a value, and because we are growing, we must take the necessary steps to tighten our security and create a system that serves our children's safety more specifically.

It is so important that as we come to church, we can worship God and say, "I stand in a safe place.  Lord, I praise you in the great meeting." Psalm 26:12.  It is our desire that all parents will feel completely comfortable in leaving their children as they go and worship the Lord in the service.  Also, in that safety...our childen will experience God as their safe place and their church experience will be a place of refuge.

The process will be as follows:

Kidz View:
1.  We will still have a table for new registrations.
2.  We wil have a separate table for your children to make their own name tags, with different colored sharpee markers, and stickers for decoration.  They will enjoy doing this each week.
3.  There will be two lines that will form in the hallway, where parents can sign-in their children.  You will first look for the grade your child is in, find their name, write their number down (from the bracelet), time in (a digital clock will be on the table for your convience), and your signature.
4.  The greeter will attach your bracelet on you and your child.
5.  When checking out, your child's small group leader will have the sign-out sheet for you to sign and they will check your bracelets.  Normally, you would have just come to the front of the gym and your child's name has been called out, instead you will now be able to go right to your child's small group leader.  This will also give you a chance discuss with your child's small group coach how your child is doing in the ministry.

Wee View:
1.  We will still have a greeter table.
2.  Two lines will form with two identical sign-in sheets
3. You will need to sign-in your child by writing their age down (if you have not already done so), write down the number from the bracelet, sign-in your signature and time in.  The greeter will make a name tag for your child and help you with the bracelets.
3.  It is imperative that you put your child's age down so we can break out this sign-in/out sheet by room in the next three weeks.  Once three weeks has passed....Then all you will have to do is go to the greeter table, get your bracelet and your name tag and then you can go straight to the room, where the sign-in/out sheet will be on a music stand for you to sign-in your child and return there to sign-out your child.
4.  The teachers will then check your bracelets and release your child to you.

Please be patient with this process...it's a good process and one that many churches use.
Our goal and our focus is the safety of your children.  We love them and want what is best for them and for you.  God bless you and thank you for allowing us to serve your children with the love of Christ.
