MVCC MISSIONARIES
We’ve had the privilege of sharing in the ministries of numerous missionaries over the years and are thankful that so many have obeyed God’s calling and gone into the mission field, both nationally or internationally. Mountain View financially and prayerfully supports multiple missionaries. If you would like to give to one of them individually, please use the “GIVE NOW” option under their info below.
Seth and Michelle, along with their five children, are missionaries in Estonia with Converge IM. Estonia is small country with only 1.3 million people nestled at the top of the Baltic states and bordering Russia. It is a nation that has been through consistent oppression, the last of which was the heavy hand of the Soviet Union. The results are palatable with even the BBC labeling the country as “the least religious in the world.” Less than 1.2% of the people in Estonia would call themselves Evangelical.
The Adkins are eager to go to Estonia, learn the language and culture, and begin building relationships that will lead to opportunities to share the gospel. They will be joining an already existing team who have been prayerfully working with the local church to reach the unreached towns and villages in South Estonia and to be a resource to the church in pastoral care, next generation leadership development, and church planting. To learn more about what it looks like to serve in Estonia, visit the link below. There are wonderful videos that really give a great glimpse into the light that God is shining in this dark corner of the world.
Dan and Stephanie joined Christ in Action (CIA) in September of 2019 when they relocated from the Charleston, South Carolina area. Dan is originally from western Pennsylvania and Stephanie is from central New Jersey where they met in 1984.
The Bantly’s had a landscaping business
in South Carolina for the 9 years prior to joining CIA. Before that, Dan worked in various management positions for Costco Wholesale for 17 years. Stephanie’s past experience was primarily in administration. Dan’s skills with warehouse management, inventory, and receiving allow him to assist CIA with setting up and running daily operations in their new warehouse facility. Stephanie’s core responsibilities within the ministry center around administration and finance.
They had been praying for some time for ways to serve where God was already at work. This had been even more prominent in their hearts while contemplating the “empty nest” phase of their life they knew they were entering in 2019. Meeting the staff and serving with Christ in Action during disaster relief efforts in Conway, SC following hurricane Florence in 2018 was just the answer to prayer they were waiting for. There, they witnessed a group of people selflessly serving and loving others and providing hope in the midst of a disaster. Being the hands and feet of Christ is their passion and they are living this out through their mission work with Christ in Action. Please support the Bantly’s as they serve with Christ in Action, bringing HOPE to America’s families.
The Campbell family is passionate about God’s Word and humbled by the opportunity to be part of a translation team in French-speaking Africa. Jack and Lindsay are missionaries with Wycliffe working in Côte d’Ivoire and have seen God work in amazing ways to get them to this point. Jack is currently training to be a Linguistic Consultant, while Lindsay is homeschooling their 3 children. They live in Abidjan where Jack is providing linguistics services to the translation teams in country. Would you consider partnering with them in their Wycliffe ministry to Côte d’Ivoire in West Africa?
In 2018, David began volunteering with Christ In Action during their deployment to provide disaster relief in New Bern, NC after Hurricane Florence. Then he started to volunteer regularly at their headquarters near Culpeper in 2020, assisting with various IT needs. David and Lisa could feel God beginning to steer their family toward working for Christ In Action as full-time missionaries. In 2023, that leading became their calling and they joined the CIA staff.
David continues to assist with IT and has added Facilities Management to his duties. Lisa works in the office using her skills in administration handling Training & Events and Administrative Systems. Their son, Kyle, hopes to learn more about the media side of Christ In Action and is eager to help-out whenever he can, but his priority is completing his daily schoolwork.
The Moore’s are thrilled to serve as a family with Christ In Action and know that God will continue to work in and through them as they walk this path together.
Please consider supporting the Moore Family as they serve with Christ in Action – Bringing Hope to America’s Families.
Ivan and Rachel’s vision is to make the gospel of Jesus known in Ecuador; to see kids transformed by the simplicity of the good news; by meeting kids where they are at, loving them and pouring into them with God’s unconditional love; to raise up and empower national and local leaders; to raise local support and involvement to take ownership of the ministry in their respective cities.
Ivan’s role is National Director for Young Life Ecuador. Ivan spends much of his time meeting with people in the community (government leaders, church members, business owners, etc) to share the vision of Young Life and increase community involvement and awareness. Ivan also travels throughout Ecuador to oversee, encourage, and train leaders who have the vision to reach teenagers in their city or town.
Rachel works with the Global Leaders (students who have been accepted into a scholarship program through Young Life), coordinates short-term mission trips, and the day-to-day administrative tasks. Together we serve as mentors to leaders and walk with them through life, teaching and encouraging them. Our hope is that more teenagers lives would be transformed by the gospel, disciples would be made, and more leaders would be trained to spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ through Young Life and begin the ministry in other areas of Ecuador”.

Larry & Susan have served together in Bible Translation and Literacy for an indigenous language community in a sensitive country in the Andes mountains. Larry worked for 16 years with national translators, facilitating their work of translating the Scriptures into their heart language. Susan created literacy materials in the language and trained nationals to teach others how to read. In March of 2018 the New Testament translation was dedicated in the language. Since then, Larry has worked as a translation consultant for three languages in South America, providing training and checking their scripture translations. Susan is serving at the Learning and Development Dept at JAARS, where she trains missionary recruits in intercultural communications and facilitates in many ways. Larry & Susan’s hearts’ desire is to assist language communities with no Scripture or inadequate Scripture to realize their goals for clear and accurate translation of the Bible in the language they understand best. They use their experience in translation and literacy to train and mentor both aspiring missionaries and national translators to participate in the fulfillment of this vision, that the Bible-less people of the world will be reached through the living Word of God. We invite you to become a prayer partner and/or financial partner with their Wycliffe ministry for the people of South America.
